Welcome to Camp Mom

Welcome to Camp Mom.  So glad to see you found your way here.  Don't worry about your baggage, we have Men to take care of that.  Please get yourself a cup of coffee and pull up a cozy chair (they have already been checked for goldfish and sticky banana).  My apologies that all the Wii remotes have been removed from the room.  And someone will provide you with a place to check your phones, Ipads, laptops, etc.  We do have technology hour right after lunch, in the lodge.
You will find copies of our weekly activities on the tables as well as paper and pencils for to-do lists and taking notes, but you really don't need to.  Spa treatments do need to be booked 24 hours in advance, but the hot tub and lake are available at your leisure as well as any of the canoes, kayaks or windsurfers.  Twice a week, we have a skipper who comes in from down the lake to take day cruises in the sailboats.  Daily morning hikes leave from the steps of the Dining room just after sunrise and evening campfires are held under the stars (and yes, we guarantee starlit nights, you read correctly), once it gets dark.
There is a list of venting sessions on the back of the weekly schedules, please be sure and mark your first, second and third choices when choosing which sessions you would like to attend.  We do like to ensure that everyone gets their first choice, and sometimes will offer the same session twice in one day if it is too popular.  Those tend to be: "My husband snores, but I don't think he's really sleeping", "My children won't eat anything but macaroni and hot dogs" and "Coffee-Marguerita? - Coffee- Marguerita? Which one should I have?"
Please be aware that we do recommend that there be a balance between time for yourself classes, inspiration and venting sessions.  Our team of experts will help you ensure that your week with us gets you everything you are looking for...Now for those cabin assignments.

Wouldn't it be great if we could go to Camp instead of the kids?  A week away with other Moms.  No husbands, no phone calls or emails, no television.  Nobody fighting or wondering what is for supper.  Time to read your book, get a massage or take a yoga class.  Time to vent about what is getting you down at home, and a chance to improve yourself both parentally and personally (be it fitness, food or just geting a chance to do something good for yourself).  Well, I am afraid that I cannot take you physically away from your families (at least not yet), but I can suggest you pour yourself a glass or a cup of something you like to drink and get comfortable as I try to make you smile, encourage you in your daily life with kids and  help you feel a little less alone as a Mom.  And maybe even introduce you to a new friend or two.  Who knows?  We might even find someone who wants to book pedicures through here!

I hope you will stop by from time to time and let us know what is up in your Mommy world.
Thanks for taking the time to check things out!
